The Science. Innovation. Education Journal is a scientific periodical in the science studies field, and successor to the traditions of the Naukovedenie (Science Studies) Journal (1999-2004). From 2006 to 2015, the Science. Innovation. Education periodical was an almanac, and since 2016 is now published as a journal. Starting from the issue 2, 2019 the name of the journal has been changed. The new name of the journal is "Science Governance and Scientometrics". The journal continues to be indexed in all declared databases.
The purpose of the journal is to create a professional platform for the multidisciplinary discussion of issues in the development of science, technology, innovations, and education, along with scientific, technological, innovative and educational policy.
Founder and publisher - the federal state budgetary organization "Russian Research Institute of Economics, Politics and Law in Science and Technology" (Moscow, Russia).
The journal is published 4 times a year.
The journal is published in Russian and English.
The journal is registered in The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Certificate of Registration of the Media PI No. FS77-75523 dated April 12, 2019). The periodical is also assigned the following international standard serial number of periodicals: ISSN 2686-6706(Print), 2686-6714(Online).
The Science Governance and Scientometrics Journal is included in the Russian Science Citation Index system, and ranks 2nd in Science Studies.
The readership of the journal includes Russian and foreign experts in science, innovation and education, as well as analysts, researchers, postgraduates and students.

Publication for all authors is free of charge. Authors do not receive remuneration. The journal does not practice an expedited review. Articles of the Editorial Board members do not receive preferences and undergo the standard review procedure based on which a decision is made to accept or to reject a manuscript.
From 25 December 2020 Science Governance and Scientometrics has been included in the list of reviewed scientific journals for publishing the results of thesis researches (Higher Attestation Commission List) for applicants of following specialties (science branches):
Science Governance and Scientometrics is an open access journal, i.e. it provides free open access to the contents in accordance to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
All the materials published become available to the public immediately after publication with no embargo period. Online registration is not required to get full free access to the journal.
